Quinn | Brooklyn Apr 29th, 2009
kids | by admin

I can think of no better reason to take a field trip to Brooklyn than to see the son of a wonderful couple whose wedding I shot a handful of years ago in Upstate New York. I love little babies and Quinn was no exception. He had so many faces, he almost looks like a different baby in all the shots posted below. Thanks Heather and Mike for having me- Quinn is beautiful.

Amee and Jason | Montego Bay, Jamaica Apr 29th, 2009
weddings | by admin

Just a little over a week ago I photographed Amee and Jason’s wedding at the beautiful Half Moon in Montego Bay, Jamaica. It was impossible editing down the wedding day photos for this post and as you will see below I went a little over board with the number I chose. This wedding was just amazing- every single part of it. From the weather, to the families, to the expertise of their New York City based coordinator Sonal Shah and her team (Jessica and Shital). I can’t express how vital a great event planner is, especially for destination weddings. I felt so thankful to be a part of this wedding, I was truly inspired. I loved seeing over and over again was the way Jason could make Amee laugh and light up. I hope you enjoy the images.

New albums for 2009! Apr 29th, 2009
product info | by admin

For 2009 I am debuting a new line of albums! I adore these books. They are exactly what I was looking for and I’m proud to offer them to my couples. I’ve posted photos below of my samples. You will see a large sized album (in brown leather) and a parent sized album (in sage microfiber). The final image showcases the fabric and leather swatches the company offers for the covers of the albums. I love all the options!

Mehendi Ceremony | Montego Bay, Jamaica Apr 22nd, 2009
weddings | by admin

The Friday before Amee and Jason’s wedding in Montego Bay they had a Mehendi Ceremony/celebration ay Half Moon’s Oleander Pavilion. Earlier that day Amee had her Mehendi applied, that’s her little foot in the photo later in this post. Most of the wedding guests attended. The sunset was beautiful and I spent a lot of time on the beach photographing families. Later on there was a tasty Indian dinner and dancing. Jason was attacked by guests with silly string toward the end of the evening, which he took very well. You’ll see the photo below. Coming next are the wedding day photos, it’s going to be tough to choose which to blog!

weddings | by admin

I am in Montego Bay, Jamaica for Amee and Jason’s wedding at the beautiful Half Moon Resort. Yesterday I photographed two pre-wedding rituals: the Pithi Ceremony and later on that evening the Mehendi Ceremony. I can’t wait for the wedding this afternoon! Here are just a few shots from the Pithi Ceremony.

Lauren and Doug | Engagement Session Apr 13th, 2009
engagement portraits | by admin

Yesterday I had a amazing shoot with Doug and Lauren around Manhattan’s Upper East Side. It was a little chilly but it was sunny and all the signs of Spring were present. Doug and Lauren were great, they were up for anything. Thanks guys, I had so much fun! I’m excited to photograph their wedding in June and to see Doug’s brother Bill and his wife Michelle whose wedding I photographed a few years back.

I think it’s the sweetest thing when my couples send me an invitation to their wedding. Here’s one I just received from Indie and Nevin “inviting” me to their wedding in May. Isn’t it beautiful? It made me smile and think of spring. Thanks guys, I can’t wait for your wedding in May!

My favorite things in South Beach | Part Two Apr 06th, 2009
travels | by admin

I’m back in Manhattan now and it’s nice to see Spring on its’ way! I’m looking forward to Doug and Lauren’s engagement shoot this weekend and to Amee and Jason’s wedding in Jamaica next week!! From my time in South Beach there are a couple other favs I wanted to mention like the farmers market on Lincoln Road every Sunday, the beach (obviously!!), and Eno’s Wine Bar which was unique in that all the bottles of wine were behind glass and required a prepaid card to order your wine directly from the bottle in your choice of three size options ranging from just a taste to a full glass. If you love wine it was a fun way to sample many wines over the course of an evening. The Shore Club at night for cocktails is really fun (albeit, overpriced) and romantic because there are many different outdoor seating options and plenty of privacy, if you are looking for that. South Beach was a riot but it’s great to be back in New York.
