My boyfriend and I went to the Yankees vs. Orioles game Tuesday and he caught a foul ball from Derek Jeter! Here’s a shot of the ball. It was a great moment.

I’m back in Manhattan now and it’s nice to see Spring on its’ way! I’m looking forward to Doug and Lauren’s engagement shoot this weekend and to Amee and Jason’s wedding in Jamaica next week!! From my time in South Beach there are a couple other favs I wanted to mention like the farmers market on Lincoln Road every Sunday, the beach (obviously!!), and Eno’s Wine Bar which was unique in that all the bottles of wine were behind glass and required a prepaid card to order your wine directly from the bottle in your choice of three size options ranging from just a taste to a full glass. If you love wine it was a fun way to sample many wines over the course of an evening. The Shore Club at night for cocktails is really fun (albeit, overpriced) and romantic because there are many different outdoor seating options and plenty of privacy, if you are looking for that. South Beach was a riot but it’s great to be back in New York.

As I pack up the apartment in South Beach to head back to Manhattan I wanted to mention some of my favorite spots in South Beach. Miami is a truly unique place and I have enjoyed every minute of the time I have spent here over the Winter. My favorite neighborhood dining establishment is A La Folie, a cute French cafe, which has amazing crepes. Today I had the Tunisienne crepe, which is honey, walnuts, mint, and lemon. The brie and pear crepe is also tasty. The three cheese crepe (brie, goat cheese, and swiss cheese) is another regular for me. A La Folie is located on Espanola Way if you are ever in the area. I also had memorable meals at Michael’s Genuine in the Design District, Table 8 right on Ocean Drive in South Beach, and Barton G in South Beach. Another treat is La Gelaterie on Lincoln Road, which I frequented. I highly recommend the hazelnut gelato! Below is a shot of A La Folie’s outdoor seating and the counter at La Gelaterie.

My time in South Beach is almost over. I’m excited to be back in Manhattan but I must admit I will miss the beach and the ocean. Today I spent most of my day walking and photographing. I documented one of my favorite things in South Beach: all the retro fonts on the buildings in the area. They are so fun! Enjoy.

I’ve been spending a lot of my time here in South Beach enjoying the weather and catching up on album designs before the wedding season of 09′ really gets started for me (I’ve had a few weddings already but May is when things start to get busy for me) but yesterday I strolled around the beach at sunset and took a few shots and happened upon a wedding, of all things….lol.

I decided to take a break from the Northeast during the winter and head to South Beach until everything thaws out up in New York. It’s a slower time of year for weddings but I have a lot of album design work to do so I thought I might as well do it in a place where the weather is amazing. I’m really excited to check out Miami too, because I haven’t spent that much time here in years past. It seems like there is always something cool going on here! This weekend I head to the South Beach Food and Wine Festival, I can’t wait! Below is a shot of South Beach. More to come soon of my amazing Art Deco neighborhood.

My boyfriend took this pic of me shooting when we were in Belize. It made me laugh.

You all know I love to travel so I chose to head to Belize for a personal vacation. I love the Caribbean but I go there a lot for destination weddings so I chose Belize because I had read it was the “jewel of Central America” and because it was completely new country for me. The beautiful beaches and yummy food factored in as well. Belize exceeded expectations, if you are looking for a honeymoon spot I would highly recommend it! Feel free to email me for info about great places to stay and eat. Below are a few shots I took between of sunning myself, eating, and beating my boyfriend at poker.

It figures that the photo of me I like is one of me rolling my eyes and laughing.

In addition to traveling to Greece, Nevis, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico for weddings in 2008 I also took some time for personal travel. Anyone who knows me knows that travel is one of my greatest loves. Last year I explored Curacao, Peru, and Egypt. 2009 is promising to be an even more exciting travel year for me! Stay tuned for shots from my 2009 travels starting with Belize later this month!
