Soonali and Hiral | Vernon, NJ Sep 03rd, 2010
weddings | by admin

I am preparing for a wedding tomorrow in Malta tomorrow but I owe Soonali and Hiral a blogpost from their stunning wedding at Crystal Springs Resort. Soonali and Hiral had a beautiful ceremony and they threw a crazy party after! They really went all out. From start to finish it was a photographer’s dream.

Soonali and Hiral | Sangeet | Edison, NJ Jul 30th, 2010
weddings | by admin

Tomorrow is Soonali and Hiral’s big day at Crystal Springs in Vernon, NJ but last night I photographed their Sangeet Party.  It was such a fun party. I kept smiling at the party thinking about lucky I am to have such a postive job where I watch people celebrate being in love. I loved the decor as well which is evident from the photo below. Aren’t those lamps cool? There was a different one on each table.

Christine and Brett | Long Branch, NJ Jul 13th, 2010
weddings | by admin

I remember when Christine first contacted me to photograph her wedding because her e-mail address was @Barneys.com which peaked my interest immediately, lol! Christine does indeed work as a buyer for Barneys. What a fun job! Christine and Brett live on the Jersey Shore and love the Ocean so naturally they went for a beach wedding. The weather was touch and go but it cleared up for the ceremony which was a relief for us all. If you are looking for a great spot on the water for your wedding check out McLoone’s in Long Branch. Christine has amazing taste (check out her ring and Louboutin’s) and it carried all the way through her wedding so it was a pleasure to shoot! Thanks so much Christine and Brett! You were so easy to work with.

Jill and Alex | Jersey City, NJ Jun 14th, 2010
weddings | by admin

Jill and Alex were married in early June at St. Patrick’s in Jersey City followed by their reception at the Liberty House, which has the best view of the Manhattan skyline! Jill and Alex are a referral from a referral and have referred me to another bride who I am meeting with this week! I saw so many familiar faces at their wedding as a result. The repeated referrals are the best compliment I could receive! It’s great to keep working with the same group of friends, especially when they are so sweet, genuine, and fun!

Laura and Mike | Alpine, NY May 23rd, 2010
weddings | by admin

I have adored Mike and Laura from the start. I could tell from the first time I spoke with them on the phone that amazing photography was a huge priority for them. They even traveled from Boston to New York City to have me shoot an engagement session for them! Their wedding was held at the picturesque Fontainebleau Inn in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. It’s a venue I have many fond memories of because I have photographed several lovely couples there over the past eight years. The tone of Mike and Laura’s wedding was so relaxed and friendly. There was no drama: just an intimate gathering celebrating Laura and Mike’s love. They chose to do their portraits before the ceremony so they could enjoy their cocktail hour with friends and family. So they wouldn’t miss out on having the moment when the groom first sees the bride I asked Mike to stand out on the lawn with his eyes shut and wait for Laura to come out to him. You will see the fun results in the series of three images in this blogpost. Thank you so much Mike and Laura- have some wine for me in Napa! And I almost forgot! Check out the awesome mini grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup!

Ahang and Peje | St. Maarten May 19th, 2010
weddings | by admin

What a weekend we all had in St. Maarten! Ahang and Peje’s wedding was emotional, colorful, and stunning to photograph. Everywhere I turned there were amazing picture possibilities all around me! The Westin’s catering manager, Marouschka, went above and beyond as did Ahang’s St. Maarten wedding coordinator Milagros de Windt of Sint Maarten Marry Me event planning. Ahang and Peje’s families couldn’t have been sweeter. I went a little crazy posting so many photos from the wedding- it was so hard to choose! Ahang and Peje: I hope you are enjoying St. Barts!

Christine and Dave | Manhattan May 02nd, 2010
weddings | by admin

Even though I live in Manhattan it’s surprising how few Manhattan weddings I actually shoot! It was a treat to be able to walk to Christine and Dave’s Park Avenue wedding last weekend. There were so many special touches throughout the wedding. Especially notable was the bagpiper leading the congregation to the reception site! We attracted quite a bit of attention walking down Park Avenue. I love New York weddings!
