Happy 2012! I’m excited  already for the 2012 wedding season which has me traveling to three countries outside the United States for weddings in addition to several in the New York City area. I have also learned that many of my 2008 and 2009 brides (and even a 2011 bride!!) are expecting little ones so there is much to look forward to this year. Looking back here are some of my favorite shots from 2011.

I am working on designing new sample albums now since my 2011 wedding season has finished. I am working on one from Tania and Justin’s Miami wedding and I came across this photo when I was choosing the shots for the album. I just love the look on Justin’s face! He was trying not to cry after watching Tania walk down the aisle. Alright, back to work!

A quick teaser from Merideth and Chrisviagrapher’s wedding in Philly during the hurricane that hit the east coast back in August. We went to the train station to do photos- note the cancellations on the Amtrak board.

Two weekends in a row I photographed weddings at Riverside Farm in Vermont. I love photographing there! I am happy to have booked another wedding there this coming March. Jocelyn and Steven had a beautiful day at the farm and I was able to take some of my favorite photos of the year! There were so many powerful and emotional moments at Jocelyn and Steven’s wedding. You’ll see further down in the blog post a series of shots of Jocelyn and her brother. They couldn’t look at each other without crying. Thank you Jocelyn and Steven for having me at your wedding!

Suzy and Tom traveled from the UK to Upstate New York for their wedding in August. Luckily for me the private home where they held their wedding was the home of parents of another of my former brides so they referred me for the wedding. Suzy and Tom’s wedding wins the prize for most hilarious wedding speeches, easily. I was laughing throughout the ceremony and reception. Thank you Enza and Casey for recommending me for Tom and Suzy’s beautiful wedding celebration. It was filled with beautiful moments!

It’s hard not to love Kate and Chris. They were incredibly relaxed and soooo happy on their wedding day. They are the kind of couple that just make you feel good to be around. Normally by the end of the wedding day I am exhausted but when I left Kate and Chris’s wedding I felt like I was ready to go and shoot another one (I’m totally serious). They were up for anything, like exploring the goldenrod field below! On top of everything their wedding was at one of my favorite venues Riverside Farm.

Polina and Sean’s wedding was at one of my favorite venue’s in New York City: The Foundry. I adored Polina and Sean from the second I met them and was really looking forward to their wedding. They are such sweet people. And look what a stunning bride Polina was!!

I met Leanne and Bryan last year when I went to photograph their engagement session in Connecticut and the first thing I noticed was Leanne’s natural beauty. After editing her wedding photos I kept noticing the same thing! She has such natural, classic beauty. At Bryan and Leanne’s wedding they had fun with Bryan (now Leanne’s) last name: Mailman. They incorporated it into the theme of the wedding as you can see from the cake with the stamps on it and the ring shot on their place card. They even had a mail truck!  This was completely creative and so original. I love seeing new things!

Samreen and Asif’s wedding and reception were held at Lyndhurst Castle in Tarrytown.  There are so many beautiful shots from their wedding it was tough to edit them for this blogpost! I love that Samreen and Asif are beaming in their photos. I enjoyed reliving the day through the photos. I can’t wait to hear about Samreen and Asif’s honeymoon in Provence! The south of France is on my short list and seems like the perfect place to honeymoon.

Jen and Steve sent me the cutest Thank You a few weeks back after I sent them their photos.  I cherish these Thank Yous! Below are two of my favorite shots from their engagement shoot in California and wedding in Vermont.

Freddie and Chris were married in June in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. Freddie’s mom remembered my work (from 8 years ago!!) from the local newspaper in Rochester, where I worked right after college, and called me to photograph her daughter’s wedding. As it turned out I had photographed a couple other of their friend’s weddings as well so I felt right at home at Freddie and Chris’s wedding. I was so honored that Freddie’s mom remembered me!

I can’t show you much from this wedding because I have to protect the identities of the bride and groom but I just wanted to share a shot from my first City Hall wedding. It was such a great experience! It was really fast and made for amazing people watching!
