Whitney and Joe were married at a private villa in St. Martin at the end of April. I was looking forward to their wedding all winter! The view from their villa was breathtaking. It created a dramatic backdrop for their wedding. Their wedding was the ultimate contrast to my last wedding in snowy Vermont! That’s why I love my job so much- every wedding is different. I’m looking forward to all my weddings this year!

It was great to start my season off at one of my favorite venues: Riverside Farm in Pittsfield, Vermont. We’ve seen almost no snow in New York City this winter so it was nice to finally see some in Vermont. I’ve been to Riverside Farm in the Fall and Summer and I can say now that it is truly beautiful in any season! Lucky for me Andrew, Lauren and their entire bridal party was brave enough to trek into the snow for some amazing photos. Here are a selection of photos from their day.

Happy 2012! I’m excited  already for the 2012 wedding season which has me traveling to three countries outside the United States for weddings in addition to several in the New York City area. I have also learned that many of my 2008 and 2009 brides (and even a 2011 bride!!) are expecting little ones so there is much to look forward to this year. Looking back here are some of my favorite shots from 2011.

I am working on designing new sample albums now since my 2011 wedding season has finished. I am working on one from Tania and Justin’s Miami wedding and I came across this photo when I was choosing the shots for the album. I just love the look on Justin’s face! He was trying not to cry after watching Tania walk down the aisle. Alright, back to work!

A quick teaser from Merideth and Chrisviagrapher’s wedding in Philly during the hurricane that hit the east coast back in August. We went to the train station to do photos- note the cancellations on the Amtrak board.

Two weekends in a row I photographed weddings at Riverside Farm in Vermont. I love photographing there! I am happy to have booked another wedding there this coming March. Jocelyn and Steven had a beautiful day at the farm and I was able to take some of my favorite photos of the year! There were so many powerful and emotional moments at Jocelyn and Steven’s wedding. You’ll see further down in the blog post a series of shots of Jocelyn and her brother. They couldn’t look at each other without crying. Thank you Jocelyn and Steven for having me at your wedding!

Suzy and Tom traveled from the UK to Upstate New York for their wedding in August. Luckily for me the private home where they held their wedding was the home of parents of another of my former brides so they referred me for the wedding. Suzy and Tom’s wedding wins the prize for most hilarious wedding speeches, easily. I was laughing throughout the ceremony and reception. Thank you Enza and Casey for recommending me for Tom and Suzy’s beautiful wedding celebration. It was filled with beautiful moments!

It’s hard not to love Kate and Chris. They were incredibly relaxed and soooo happy on their wedding day. They are the kind of couple that just make you feel good to be around. Normally by the end of the wedding day I am exhausted but when I left Kate and Chris’s wedding I felt like I was ready to go and shoot another one (I’m totally serious). They were up for anything, like exploring the goldenrod field below! On top of everything their wedding was at one of my favorite venues Riverside Farm.
