I have adored Mike and Laura from the start. I could tell from the first time I spoke with them on the phone that amazing photography was a huge priority for them. They even traveled from Boston to New York City to have me shoot an engagement session for them! Their wedding was held at the picturesque Fontainebleau Inn in the Finger Lakes region of Upstate New York. It’s a venue I have many fond memories of because I have photographed several lovely couples there over the past eight years. The tone of Mike and Laura’s wedding was so relaxed and friendly. There was no drama: just an intimate gathering celebrating Laura and Mike’s love. They chose to do their portraits before the ceremony so they could enjoy their cocktail hour with friends and family. So they wouldn’t miss out on having the moment when the groom first sees the bride I asked Mike to stand out on the lawn with his eyes shut and wait for Laura to come out to him. You will see the fun results in the series of three images in this blogpost. Thank you so much Mike and Laura- have some wine for me in Napa! And I almost forgot! Check out the awesome mini grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup!
