Recently I was back in Rochester to photograph Lauren and Doug’s wedding in the Finger Lakes (photos to come shortly!) and I was able to hang out with Jacqueline and her mom Tara. I photographed Tara’s wedding and I’ve been photographing Jacqueline since she was pretty little. As you can see, she’s a spunky little girl now. It was great seeing you Tara! I’ll be back in August.

I’ve been excited to shoot Allyson and Michael’s wedding since the first time Michael called me to discuss their wedding plans. Allyson and Michael gave me two hours to photograph just the two of them. It’s extremely rare that I’ve given that kind of time and it was creatively a great experience for me. We were able to cover so much ground in Manhattan and we even ran into Jason, whose wedding I shot over a month ago in Jamaica! Thank you so much Allyson and Michael for being such great subjects. The wedding was beautiful and the party was insane!

How cute are Sau and Shelby? I’m so excited to be photographing their wedding in September. This was my first time meeting them and they are so loving together, it was beautiful to see. We shot at Cafe Falai in Soho and then jaunted around Soho and Tribeca for some more shots. I can’t wait for the wedding!

Wow! Indie and Nevin had a truly heartfelt day. Indie’s smile was contagious as she lit up the room! I was very much looking forward to this wedding because it was my first wedding in the state of Maryland and because Indie and I have exchanged so many e-mails before the wedding that I felt like we were already good friends! I had such a fantastic time capturing the many emotions of they day and getting to know Indie, Nevin, and their family. I have the best job!

My boyfriend and I went to the Yankees vs. Orioles game Tuesday and he caught a foul ball from Derek Jeter! Here’s a shot of the ball. It was a great moment.

I had to create a separate blog post of all the beautiful, inspired detals at Carrie and Matt’s wedding. Their wedding coordinator Kelli Berg is responsible for making the wedding details so amazing! From the flowers, to the printed place and table cards, to the creative uplighting I barely took the camera away from my face the entire reception! You will also see images of the lounge area she created on the grounds of the Esperanza Mansion. It featured pink uplighting, candy and dessert table, a separate bar from the reception, mod lounge furniture, paper latterns, and fabric black and white patterned wall coverings. Everything was so detailed, even down to the pink champagne. Thanks Kelli, for making Carrie and Matt’s wedding so memorable.

I traveled back to familiar territory last weekend for Carrie and Matt’s wedding in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. It was a joy to be back and to be working with wedding coordinator Kelli Berg of Simply Beautiful events. It was my first time meeting Carrie and Matt because they live in D.C., but Carrie made me feel so welcomed in our first few minutes together when she told me she loved following the blog and was excited to have me there. That was a great start to my day! The weather report had called for storms and it sounded like the day was going to be a washout but the weather cooperated with the exception of the 40 miles/hour winds. I was just thrilled we were able to get outside for the some portraits! There were so many warm, sweet people at this wedding to support Carrie and Matt, it was amazing to see and a blast to photograph! You know you are at a great wedding when the day feels like it’s over too fast.

I am in Penn Yan, New York in the beautiful Finger Lakes region to photograph Matt and Carrie’s wedding tomorrow! I am sitting in the hotel finishing up Amee and Jason’s photos from their wedding in Jamaica last month and I happened upon this one and I love it! The wedding was so phenomenal.

I just received Nina’s album in the mail yesterday, it looks great! I wanted to share a few pics before I deliver it to her. The cover color is called “Green Room” and the fabric is like a microfiber, it’s really soft. It was so fun reliving the wedding through the album. Isn’t Nina gorgeous?
